The purpose of the Special Nutrition
Program Operations Study (SNOPS) is to collect timely data on
policies, administrative, and operational issues of the Child
Nutrition Programs. The data will be used for program budget
preparation, development and implementation of program policies and
regulations, and identification of areas for technical assistance
and training.

This is a revision to an
existing information collection. This ICR is for Year 3 of a 3 year
study. Study Year 3 includes web surveys to the sample of SFA
Directors and all State Child Nutrition Directors that participated
previously. Study Year 3 removes the onsite data collection
component. Burden for Study Year 3 totals 3,345 burden hours, which
is a program change (reduction) of 1,749 burden hours and increase
of 1,927 responses.
