FSIS is changing the poultry products
inspection regulations to require poultry slaughter establishments
to regularly test for pathogens as a means of monitoring their
procedures.
This is a new collection of
information resulting in a program change of 191,204.27 burden
hours and the responses to 1,529,407.. Between the proposed rule
and the final rule, the burden hours have decreased from 250,160 to
191,204.27 and the responses from 3,001,920 to 1,529,407 due to a
reduction in sampling.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
