In March, you should have received instructions for completing the 2013 Annual Capital Expenditures Survey (ACES). We recognize the burden involved in completing this survey, but the Census Bureau depends on your input to ensure the accuracy of our data. The ACES data are a key source of information about our country’s economic performance. Business investment in structures and equipment is an important component of the official estimates of the Gross Domestic Product. The ACES data also help U.S. businesses identify market opportunities, develop new products, and conduct strategic planning.
