The Annual Capital Expenditures Survey
(ACES) is the sole source of detailed comprehensive statistics on
actual business spending for non-farm, non-governmental companies,
organizations, and associations operating in the United States.
Government agencies use the data to improve economic indicators,
evaluate productivity and industrial capacity measures, and analyze
economic performance.
74,530 reduction (program
change) -- elimination of detailed capital expenditures by type of
structure and type of equipment. 6,300 reduction (adjustment) --
reduction in the number of employer companies serving multiple
industries in the universe and sample, resulting in a decrease in
the number of companies receiving survey forms.
