It has been brought to our attention that due to some changes to Insurance industry standard practices the Insurance language as stated in the original permit would be impracticable to apply.

Notification of any changes pertaining to operations authorized under the road use permit it should be the responsibility of the permit holder, rather than the permit holder’s insurer.  The current insurance clause in the road use permit requires the insurance company to provide a copy of the holder’s insurance policy to the Forest Service and they are also required to give notice to the Forest Service of any changes to or of cancellation policies that pertain to the permit.

The change adjusts the permit language of the Insurance clause, section VI, paragraph I, to be consistent with the contractual relationship between the permit holder and the Forest Service. This change has no impact on burden.
