Approximately 30 farmers/vendors submit an annual application to participate in the year-round USDA Farmers Market in Washington, DC. Summer/Outdoor from June-November and Winter/Indoor from December through May. The application will provide AMS with participant contacts information, farm location, type of farming operation, type of products grown, and business practices, include insurance coverage. Application info is used to operate the Farmers Market safely & efficiently & ensure a balanced product mix of fruits, vegetables, herbs & other products.
