The FAA has developed a new Part S in
its Web-based Operations Safety System (webOPSS), with a new
paragraph titled S400, CAST Safety Enhancements, to gather critical
information about the voluntary implementation of approximately 20
Commercial Aviation Safety Team Safety Enhancements. Using the
S400, part 121 and 121/135 certificate holders will voluntarily
input their responses to FAA questions regarding SEs
implementation. The collection of this information will enhance
safety by allowing the FAA to measure the level of CAST SE
implementation and evaluate SE effectiveness.
