Short Statement: The change in burden is an ADJUSTMENT due to a change (i.e., decrease) in the estimated annual number of respondents. There is no proposed change to the reporting or recordkeeping requirements of this collection. The reporting and recordkeeping requirements, and the methodology for calculating burden, remain unchanged. In this ICR, we have dropped the reference to 2 Coast Guard forms as these forms are accounted for under COI 1625-0002. The forms are-the Application for Inspection of U.S. Vessels (CG-3752) and Application for Inspection of U.S. Vessels (New Construction)(CG-3752A).

On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).

The following is a summary of the topics, regarding the proposed collection of information, that the certification covers:
