This information collection request is
used by the FMCSA to help ensure that drivers, motor carriers, and
the States are complying with the notification and recordkeeping
requirements for information related to testing, licensing,
violations, convictions, and disqualifications. It is being revised
due to additional requirements in a final rule entitled, "Medical
Examiner's Certification Integration," which would require medical
examinations for interstate commercial motor vehicle (CMV) drivers
to complete certain training concerning FMCSA physical
qualification standards, pass a certification test and maintain
competence through retraining and retesting.
