The Commission is proposing a new rule that would establish procedures for the Commission to make a determination, either of its own initiative or upon application by any clearing agency or member of a clearing agency, whether a registered clearing agency should be considered a "covered clearing agency" and thereby be subject to the requirements of proposed Rule 17Ad-22(e).

17Ab2-2 would establish procedures for the Commission to make a determination, either of its own initiative or upon application by any clearing agency or member of a clearing agency, whether a registered clearing agency should be considered a "covered clearing agency" and thereby be subject to the requirements of proposed Rule 17Ad-22(e).
