Abstract: The Department collects this information each year from tribally controlled colleges and universities that received grants under Public Law 95-471, in order to ensure that the funds are used in accordance with the law and to review any resulting increase in performance.

Short Statement: BIE indicated there are now 28 Tribal Colleges and Universities that will be submitting applications to BIE. There are 37 Tribal Colleges and Universities in the United States. Also, of the three respondents asked their views on the burden hours, two respondents did not concur with the number of burden hours. BIE asked for their estimated time to complete the form and BIE used the average of the three to determine the burden hours.
