This is a request to add six data
elements for arboviral disease with no change in burden. The
National Notifiable Diseases Surveillance System (NNDSS) is the
nation's public health surveillance system used to monitor the
occurrence and spread of nationally notifiable conditions. NNDSS
facilitates the submission and aggregation of case notification
data voluntarily submitted to CDC from 57 jurisdictions including
health departments in every US state, New York City, Washington DC,
and 5 U.S. territories. NNDSS provides the official source of
statistics in the US for nationally notifiable conditions and CDC
is the sole repository of these national, population-based
data.
