Now, I would like to ask some questions about any contacts you may have had with the police. We estimate the survey will take between 2 to 10 minutes depending on your responses. By law, all information about you and your household will be kept confidential.



INTRO: This next set of questions focuses on any times you may have contacted the police or the police initiated contact with you. The term “police” refers to any law enforcement officer.


Most questions that I will be asking refer to a specific time period. During this interview, the time period is for the past twelve months, that is, from {date fill} to today.
