This information collection is
required to administer and operate this program in accordance with
the NSLA. The Program is administered at the State and school food
authority (SFA) levels and the operations include the submission
and approval of applications, execution of agreements, submission
of claims, payment of claims, and program monitoring. The USDA Food
and Nutrition Service administers these Programs. This submission
merges burden from 0584-0592 related to the Final Rule "Local
School Wellness Policy Implementation under the Healthy,
Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010" and removes FNS-640 Administrative
Review Report and its associated reporting burden.
This collection is currently
approved with 9,873,218 burden hours and 49,756,388 responses.
Since the Final Rule titled "Local School Wellness Policy
Implementation under the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010" has
published, FNS is merging the burden from its associated
information collection, OMB # 0584-0592 into this collection, which
adds 156,923 burden hours and 66,073 responses to the collection
resulting from a program change. In addition, FNS-640 and its
associated reporting burden is being removed from the collection
since this form is now collected electronically through the Food
Program Reporting System. This removes 140 burden hours and 56
responses from this collection resulting from a program change.
With these changes, FNS estimates an overall increase of 156,782
burden hours and 66,017 responses for this collection. Upon
approval, this collection will have 10,030,000 burden hours and
49,822,405 responses.
