The biennial survey of state criminal
history repositories will be conducted for yearend 2014 and 2016.
The survey will collect data to be used as the basis for estimating
the percentage of total state records that are immediately
available through the FBI's Interstate Identification Index and the
percentage that include dispositions. All 50 States, DC and the
five territories will be surveyed. A nonsubstantive change is being
submitted to provide a revised survey instrument from the 2014 to
the 2016 collection. A crosswalk showing the changes between the
2014 and 2016 instruments is included as well as a narrative
description of the modifications, deletions, and new questions. The
total burden hours and number of respondents remains the same. This
package has been updated to include revisions to the 2016 survey
instrument. A new 30 day notice was posted to announce the
revisions. No changes were made to the supporting
statement.
