Abstract: The Fish and Wildlife Service gathers data from Alaska Native subsistence hunters on polar bear, sea otter, and Pacific walrus harvest to determine what effect the harvest is having on these populations. We also collect information from Non-Natives who collect any bones, teeth, or ivory of any dead marine mammal from a beach or from land within ¼-mile of the ocean.
