Thank you. Just trying to do the background research.
I found the REV-1 on the web. What I didn’t see was a REV-2 as cited in “Supporting
Statement for Paperwork Reduction Act Submissions HUD Multifamily Energy
Assessment HUD-9614”
From your response, Rev 2 is in the works and not available/published at this time. Any
idea when REV-2 will be published?? Interested to see what the revisions will be.

It is not clear there is a question here. Find the handbook 43501. REV-1 Chapter 12 Energy
Conservation at https://www.hud.gov/sites/documents/DOC_35282.pdf. An update to this
chapter is a late addition to the total rewrite of the handbook, and should be ready for
publication soon.

In reviewing the statements document, the reference highlighted in yellow could not be
found. I can find Rev. 1 but could not find Rev. 2 on the website. Can u help me?? Is
this just a misprint or did I miss something?

1. Explain the circumstances that make the collection of information
necessary. Identify any legal or administrative requirements that necessitate the
collection. Attach a copy of the appropriate section of each statute and regulation
mandating or authorizing the collection of information.
Section 154 of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 directs HUD to develop and implement an
integrated strategy to reduce utility expenses through cost-effective energy conservation and
efficiency measures and design, and construction of public and assisted housing. In support
of these requirements, HUD has revised its administrative requirements in Chapter 12,
“Energy Conservation” of HUD Handbook 4350.1 REV-2. Additionally, the chapter
supports HUD’s Energy Strategy as reported to Congress in August 2012 and the
Memorandum of Understanding entered into by HUD, The U.S. Environmental Protection
Agency, and the U.S. Department of Energy in 2002.
