Abstract: This form will be used to determine the capability of U.S. commercial shipyards in relationship to their ability to support current and emergent national maritime transportation needs as well as the ability to support the needs of the U.S. Navy's current and future shipbuilding programs. The Maritime Administrator and the U.S. Navy require this information to support their respective efforts in maintaining an up to date measurement of the shipbuilding industry in the United States.
