National banks need these collections
of information to ensure that they conduct their operations in a
safe and sound manner and in accordance with applicable Federal
banking statutes and regulations. The collections of information
provide needed information for examiners and provide protections
for national banks. This ICR is being amended to move the
investment in bank premises application and after-the-fact notice
from the Licensing Manual (OMB Control No. 1557-0014). These
requirements are found in part 7 and will now be located in this
collection, which covers part 7. The requirements are
unchanged.
The increase in burden is due
to the addition of the burden attributed to investment in bank
premises, which was moved, without change, from OMB Control No.
1557-0014.
