Abstract: In CC Docket No. 96-187, the Commission adopted measures to streamline tariff filing requirements for local exchange carriers (LECs) pursuant to the Telecommunications Act of 1996. In order to achieve a streamlined and deregulatory environment for local exchange carrier tariff filings, local exchange carriers are required to file tariffs electronically. Other carriers are permitted to file their tariffs electronically.

Short Statement: The Commission notes the following adjustment since the last submission to OMB: The carriers’ tariff filing fees increased from $910 to $925. As a result, the total annualized operation and maintenance costs have increased from $696,800 to $701,550 (+$4,750).
