Short Statement: The increase in the hour burden is attributable to an increase in the number of SEC-registered advisers that are subject to the surprise examination requirement. As a result, more advisers are required to file Form ADV-E resulting in the estimated annual burden hours increasing from 75.95 to 89.35 and the number of responses increasing from 1,519 to 1,787.
