The purpose of this data collection is
to guide national recommendations and programmatic responses to
antibiotic resistant Neisseria gonorrhoeae. These data will be used
by public health officials at the national, state, and local levels
to monitor trends in antimicrobial resistant gonorrhea, investigate
epidemiologic aspects of gonorrhea, evaluate the effectiveness of
strategies employed to slow or stop the spread of resistant
gonorrhea, and identify new opportunities for public health
interventions.
