Regarding GPEA compliance, all collections and forms are in the same status as was recently reported for the collection and forms under OMB Control number 2120-0042.
In November 2018, AFB Director, Bruce Decleene, will present to Congress a three-year plan to establish and deploy a completely electronic and automated system, Civil Aviation Registry Electronic Services (CARES), for the public to use in obtaining Registry services and products.
The CARES planning, development and deployment process will be a very daunting and costly exercise and will require the entire three-year window for completion.
During the next three years, where possible and plausible, the Registry will put in place work-arounds for some of the forms to allow electronic submittals from the public that will transfer to the Registry the burden of printing to paper.
