Treasury disseminates to other
agencies that are members of the Committee on Foreign Investment in
the United States information collected under the regulations from
parties involved in a foreign acquisition of a U.S. company in
order to do a national security analysis of the
acquisition.
The new regulations will add
5,000 hours to the previously approved CFIUS burden of 15,080
hours, for a total of 20,080 hours. This increase is due to the
pilot program, which is being implemented in accordance with the
new FIRRMA legislation.

the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
