The primary objective of this program is to provide funds to Agriculture Innovation Centers (Centers) which provide agricultural producers with technical and business development assistance. Cooperative Programs collects information from applicants to confirm eligibility for the program and to evaluate the quality of the applications. Recipients of awards are required to submit reporting and payment request information to facilitate monitoring of the award and disbursement of funds.

We have estimated a significant increase in burden. The primary reason for this increase is because there is some evidence that it may be utilized at a higher level than in previous years. Thus, we have increased the number of applicants from 2 to 25 and we expect to increase the number of recipients from 2 to 3. These increases, along with an increase in wage rates, account for the increase in burden
