The Special Milk Program encourages
the consumption of fluid milk by children in nonprofit schools of
high school grade and under, nonprofit nursery schools, child care
centers, settlement houses, summer camps, and similar nonprofit
institutions devoted to the care of children, which do not
participate in a food service program authorized under the CNA or
the National School Lunch Act.

This is a revision of the
currently approved data collection which has 14,914 burden hours
and 99,051 responses. FNS estimates that both the burden hours and
the responses for this collection will decrease due to fewer
SFAs/CCIs participating in the School Milk Program. Due to these
adjustments, the burden hours will decrease by 1,589 hours per year
and the responses will decrease by 10,644 responses per year. With
this revision, FNS estimates that this collection will have 13,325
burden hours and 88,407 responses.
