USCIS is reporting an
adjustment to the estimated annual time burden for this collection
of information, as a result of an increase in the number of
respondents estimated to submit this form. French national were
required to use form I-508F to waive benefits conferred by the
convention between the US. Government and the French Government for
the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal
evasion with respect to taxes on income and property. Since this
US-French tax convention has been revised, French nationals are no
longer required to submit an I-508F and will now file an I-508.
There has been an increase of 50 in the burden hour inventory.
