The January 1, 2019, Texas grapefruit production is forecast at 6.30 million boxes for the 2018-2019 season,
up 31 percent from last year's final production of 4.80 million boxes. All orange production is estimated at
2.60 million boxes, up 38 percent from last year's final production of 1.88 million boxes. Early and midseason
oranges account for 2.00 million boxes and Valencias account for 600 thousand boxes.
