Office of Federal Acknowledgment (OFA), within the Office of the
Assistant Secretary - Indian Affairs, to review petitions by Indian
groups to determine whether the groups should be acknowledged as
Indian tribes eligible for a government-to-government relationship
with the U.S. Government under either the Indian Reorganization Act
(IRA) of 1934 or Alaska IRA of 1936.
