Terms of Clearance: BJS is granted a one-year clearance to collect data for reference year 2019. During this clearance period, BJS must evaluate external sources of information on prisoners under sentence of death. Should BJS decide to continue collection of this data beyond reference year 2019, the next clearance package must describe the efforts that will be made to ensure that this collection continues to provide value to the public by providing more timely, accurate, and complete information than other sources.
