Abstract: This control number covers paperwork requirements for operators and operating rights owners in the National Petroleum Reserve – Alaska (NPRA). In accordance with the National Petroleum Reserves Production Act (42 U.S.C. 6501 - 6508) and regulations at 43 CFR part 3130 (subparts 3130, 3133, 3135, 3137, and 3138), a respondent may apply to the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) for a competitive oil and gas lease and may propose a unit agreement that meets the requirements for unitized exploration and development of oil and gas resources of the NPRA.
