This is a new information
collection resulting from the proposed rule titled "Simplifying
Meal Service and Monitoring Requirements in the National School
Lunch and School Breakfast Programs." This collection will add
298,614 hours and 28,000 responses to OMB's inventory. Although FNS
is submitting a new information collection request, this proposed
rule impacts existing information collection requirements under
OMB# 0584-0006. Based on the currently approved collection, this
proposed rule will increase the burden under OMB# 0584-0006 by
approximately 133,324 hours. FNS estimates, however, that with the
final rule, the burden for OMB# 0584-0006 will be reduced by
approximately 171,372 hours.
