30 CFR 872 establishes a procedure whereby States and Indian tribes submit written statements announcing the State/Tribe's decision not to submit reclamation plans, and therefore, will not be eligible for Abandoned Mine Land funds. Additionally, this information collection clearance package authorizes us to collect information pursuant to the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2020 (H.R. 1865), and Public Law 116-94 relating to the AML Pilot Program, Making Further Continuing Appropriations for Fiscal Year 2020, and for other purposes (H.J. Res. 99). Both appropriations provided funding from the General Fund of the Treasury to certain states to be used for economic and community development in conjunction with the priorities in Section 403(a) of SMCRA.
