USCIS made minor edits to Form I-485 and its Instructions as a result of the Affidavit of Support Notice of Proposed Rulemaking. The full scope of changes is identified in the Tables of Changes submitted with this information collection request. The proposed edits did not result in any changes to the estimated hour or cost burdens to respondents. The NPRM did not change the estimated respondent population, hour burden, or cost burden. The estimates used in the NPRM were correct at the time the document was drafted. However, USCIS submitted and OMB concluded on other IC actions between when the NPRM was drafted and when this NPRM ICR is being submitted to OMB for conclusion. The estimates entered in ROCIS in association with the NPRM ICR reflect the estimates published in the NPRM, therefore ROCIS indicates adjustments that are not technically the result of the NPRM.
