The regulations for SBA's business
loans and disaster loan programs require loan guarantors and
individual owners of the small business applicant to submit
information on their assets and liabilities to help determine
applicant's creditworthiness and repayment ability. For the 8(a)
Business Development (BD), Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB), and
Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) programs SBA collects the
information from applicants and participants in those programs to
determine whether they meet the economic disadvantage requirements
to participate in these programs.
The increase in the hour burden
for respondents is due to recent data obtain in 2020 reporting
indicating fewer respondents in 7(a), SBG, and WOSB programs.
