Overall, the total burden hours increased 407,146 hours (257,050 adjustment, 150,096 potential PRA violation) and the total number of responses increased 350,430 responses (200,334 adjustment, 150,096). The increase in burden is due largely to a more accurate accounting of all items, but in particular from adding certification for animal products, which was previously not covered by this collection (potential PRA violation), as well as ensuring pets and animals other than livestock were accounted for. Overall, certification numbers increased for horses exported to Canada as well. APHIS also more accurately accounted for the number of facility inspections and for the amount of time needed to carry out all work associated with certification (assembling information, conducting examinations and tests, etc.)
