The information on Form I-485 will be used to request and determine eligibility for adjustment of permanent residence status. Supplement A is used to adjust status under section 245(i) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (Act).
There is an increase in the estimated annual time burden due to the Public Charge NPRM adding questions and instruction language to the information collection. There are no other program changes.
There is no change to the estimated annual cost burden due to the agency adjusting the estimated respondent population.
