remain in the U.S. Customs territory for 1 year or less without
duty payment is entered as a temporary importation. The importer
may apply for an extension of this period on Form 3173.

There has been an increase in
the estimated annual burden hours previously reported for this
information collection due to an increase in the number of
respondents submitting TIB entries, increasing the total responses
received; from 16,800 responses that must be reviewed to 25,508
which resulted in an increase of annual burden hours from 3,646 to
5,535.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
