Abstract: This form is used by non-immigrants to apply for suspension of deportation or Special Rule cancellation of removal. The information collected on this form is necessary in order for the USCIS to determine if it has jurisdiction over an individual applying for this release as well as to elicit information regarding the eligibility of an individual applying for this release, pursuant to section 203 of the Nicaraguan Adjustment and Central American Relief Act (NACARA); Pub. L. 105-100.

Short Statement: With this Revision, there was a decrease in the total estimated annual hour burden due to a reduction in the number of respondents based on updated agency forecasts. Additionally, this result stems from a decrease in the average burden per response from 12 hours to 11.867 hours for the I-881 due to the update including new condensed signature language in the Form and Instructions. There are no other program changes in this revision. There is a decrease in the total estimated annual cost burden due to a reduction in the number of respondents based on updated agency forecasts. There are no program changes.
