This voluntary information collection would be conducted by state DOT’s, often in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Division Offices. The collection is conducted annually through a survey provided by the FHWA. The information is provided to state DOT’s, first responders and the FHWA to help evaluate in order to improve local and the National Traffic Incident Management program.
