We will gather post-transaction survey data from individuals applying for a U.S. passport to measure their experience and drive improvement services based on this and other data collected.

Who will you collect the information from?
This survey will be collected from a random sample of after the completion of their passport application (either approved and received or received their denial letter). We will develop and update our sample sizes and other key targeting criteria as we monitor and refine our analyses of the population and important subgroups who participate in this service.
How will you ask a respondent to provide this information?
Individuals will receive and email or text message offering them the opportunity to complete the post-transaction survey.
What will the activity look like?
The survey has four questions and will take approximately 5 mins per individual submission.

When will the activity happen?
Surveys will be sent every two weeks to a random sample of individuals who had their passports or denial letters sent within the past two weeks.

Upon agreement between OMB and the agency aggregated data may be released as part of A-11, Section 280 requirements only on performance.gov. Summaries of customer research and user testing activities may be included in public-facing customer journey maps.
