Through this primary data collection effort, FNS seeks to understand the interrelated factors that lead to household food insecurity. Data will be collected in six counties experiencing persistent poverty, which are particularly disadvantaged compared to other counties. In-depth interviews will be held with a selection of respondents and focus groups with community organizations.
This is a new collection of information estimated to add 7,792 total annual burden hours and 130,601 annual responses to the OMB information collection inventory as a result of program changes.
