Proposed invitation to organizations that will assist with recruitment:

Dear ______________,
As part of HUD’s ongoing efforts to include the voices of lived experiences into the fabric of our
work, program and policies, we’re hosting a virtual young adult listening session on __________ at
______pm. I’m writing to solicit your help in identifying one or two young adults (ages 18-24 years old)
from your program who we can include in the listening session. The purpose of the session is to obtain
insights and perspectives from young adults (a group HUD has historically omitted in the decisions and
establishments of our programs and policies). More specifically we’re going to focus on identifying ways
in which HUD can better incorporate young adult voices and perspectives into our work, and address
barriers to engagement. While HUD is not able to compensate young adults for their participation in
this listening session, we hope they will consider participating in this historic effort, which can help
foster positives changes in the way HUD conducts business. If you have a young adult that you wish to
recommend for this session, please forward the following link and information to their attention.
