Abstract: Rule 0-2 (7 CFR 270.0-2) under the Investment Company Act of 1940 provides general instructions for filing an exemptive application with the Commission. Respondents to the collection are applying for orders of the Commission exempting them from one or more provisions of the Investment Company Act. This information collection is a reporting requirement, and the respondents are applicants for orders under the Investment Company Act, such as registered investment companies.

Short Statement: The estimated hourly burden associated with Rule 0-2 has increased from 2,268 hours to 2,780 hours (an increase of 512 hours). The estimated cost burden associated with Rule 0-2 have increased from $10,304,000 to $10,341,600 (an increase of $37,600). These estimated increases are due to changes in the calculation methodology, number of affected entities, and in the external costs associated with the information collection requirements.
