The Commission is submitting this revised information collection to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to add information collection requirements adopted in the 2023 VRS Improvements Order the 2023 Data Breach Reporting Order, FCC 23-111, the 2024 Accessible Carceral Communications Order, and the 2024 IVCS Order, FCC 24-75, pursuant to section 225 of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended (the Act), to modify the estimate of existing burdens that were included in the October 2023 Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA) submission to OMB, and to extend this information collection for another three years.

Due to the adoption of the 2023 VRS Improvements Order, the 2023 Data Breach Reporting Order, the 2024 Accessible Carceral Communications Order, and the 2024 IVCS Order, there are program changes to this information collection. Specifically, the Commission has added new information collection requirements. (-0 respondents, +5,890 responses, +8,463 hours, and +$3,363 costs)
Therefore, the Commission makes the following program changes as follows: the total annual number of responses have increased by +5,890; the total annual burden hours have increased by +8,463 and the total annual cost has increased by +$3,363.
Also, the Commission has re-evaluated the existing burdens associated with the previous adoption of the Registration Grace Period Order and the 2022 Accessible Carceral Communications Order since the last time this information collection was reviewed and approved by OMB and, therefore, makes the following adjustments:
the Commissionâs estimate for the total number of respondents has decreased by -21,611, the Commissionâs estimate for number of responses has decreased by -107,575, the Commissionâs estimate for the total annual burden hours has decreased by -46,177 and the Commissionâs estimate for the total annual cost has decreased by -$4,200.
