Revisions to the Collection Instruments
Paper SSA-263 (and Fillable PDF Version), and Upload Documents (Dynamic Pathing Webform):
We are making the following revisions to the paper SSA-263 and the electronic SSA-263.
• Change: We are revising the Privacy Act Statement on this form.
Justification: SSA’s Office of Law and Policy / Privacy & Disclosure Policy is conducting a systematic review of SSA’s Privacy Act Statements on agency forms. As a result, SSA is updating the Privacy Act Statement on the form.
Terms of Clearance
OMB placed the following Terms of Clearance on this Information Collection when they last approved it on 07/20/2023:
• Term: The agency modified its burden estimate to account for the time of reviewing the notice; it uploaded a sample NOPA notice; and made minor modifications to the Supporting Statement. A to further clarify the operational impacts related to the timing of a NOFO relative to benefits provision.
SSA response: SSA complied with OMB’s request to modify its burden estimate to account for the time required to review the NOPA notice. SSA also uploaded a sample NOPA notice and made minor modifications to the Supporting Statement to further clarify the operational impacts related to the timing of a NOFO relative to benefits provision. We have maintained these revisions in the submitted documentation.
