Electronic Records Express (ERE) is an online system which enables medical providers and various third party representatives to download and submit disability claimant information electronically to SSA as part of the disability application process. To ensure only authorized people access ERE, SSA requires third parties to complete a unique registration process if they wish to use this system. This information collection request (ICR) includes the third-party registration process; the burden for submitting evidence to SSA is part of other, various ICRs. The respondents are third party
representatives of disability applicants or recipients who want to use ERE to electronically access clientsâ disability files online and submit information to SSA.
The SSA is submitting and IT Modification, non-substantive change to enhance the ERE Third-Partyâs application for Appeals and Appointed Representative Services (AARPS) by replacing it with the new streamlined Appointed Representative Online Services (AROS) screens. While we are replacing AARPS with AROS, the screens allow the Appointed Representatives the same access to the same information they can currently access through ERE. Please see the Justification for the Non-Substantive Changes for more information on the new AROS screens.
