As summarized in Table 1 above, the estimated annual hourly burden associated with Form N-1A would increase by 6,340 hours. When the total estimated annual hourly burden associated with the proposed amendments is added to the current estimated annual burden associated with Form N-1A, 1,787,043, as set forth in the current collection of information âForm N-1A under the Investment Company Act of 1940 and Securities Act of 1933, registration statement of Open-End Management Investment Companiesâ (OMB Control No. 3235-0307), the total estimated annual hourly burden would increase to 1,793,383 hours. Further, the total estimated external cost burden would increase by $2,453,580 from $143,540,098 to $145,993,678, as discussed in Item 13, above. These increases in the burden estimates are due to the proposed requirements that funds provide more particularized prospectus disclosure in two locations about any performance-based compensation paid to the investment adviser. In addition, staff has revised how it calculates cost burdens for purposes of PRAs, which also results in revisions to the estimated cost burdens. Finally, the increase in estimated external cost burden reflects an increase in those external costs.
