FHWA IS COMPLEMENTED ON REDUCING THE REPORTING BUDEN OF THESE TWO REPORTS BY 58%. TO REDUCE HIGHWAY, TRAFFIC, AND ACCIDENT REPORTING REQUIREMENTS AMONG FHWA, NHTSA, AND UMTA FURTHER, OST IS HEREBY DIRECTED TO CONDUCT FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR OMB CONSIDERING THE ALTERNATIVES OF CONSOLIDATIN COMBINING, OR LINKING ALL HIGHWAY, TRAFFIC, AND ACCIDENT DATA PROVIDED TO FHWA, NHTSA, OR UMTA BY THE STATES. THE OBJECTIVES OF THIS STUDY SHALL BE TO REDUCE THE HIGHWAY, TRAFFIC, AND ACCIDENT DATA COLLECTED THAT IS EITHER UNNEEDED, DUPLICATIVE, OR OVERLAPPING. THIS FEASIBILIT STUDY SHALL BE SUBMITTED TO OMB BY JUNE 30, 1981.
