Abstract: EPA USES MANUFACTURERS' ASSEMBLY-LINE EMISSIONS DATA AND PROJECTED SAL TO SELECT ENGINE CLASSES TO BE TESTED DURING SELECTIVE ENFORCEMENT AUDITS (SEA'S). INFORMATION OBTAINED VIA SEA'S ENABLES EPA TO DETERMINE EMISSIONS CONFORMITY OF NEW LIGHT-DUTY VEHICLES, LIGHT-DUTY TRUCKS AND HEAVY-DUTY ENGINES. SEA'S ARE CONDUCTED THROUGHOUT EACH MODEL YEAR.
